Hive Education Trust

The Hive Education Trust has grown out of the St Mary Magdalene Academy SAT in Islington, North London. Our management team built the Academy from the ground up in 2007, with the dream of creating an inspiring school focused on happy and successful children. We've learned by experience all the way, and our Academy is now the most over–subscribed school in Islington.

The same team have now established Hive Education Trust. We're ready to share our experience – and eager to learn from yours.

Our Vision And Values.

Hive Education shares the same ultimate aim as the Academy from which we've grown: to nurture young people to become high achievers who will find their vocation in a global society. We place the highest value on developing students who are both happy and successful.

Our approach can be summed up by the words of Nelson Mandela, ‘Education is the great engine of personal development. It is through education that the daughter of a peasant can become a doctor, that a son of a mineworker can become the head of the mine, that a child of farm workers can become the president of a great nation. It is what we make out of what we have, not what we are given that separates one person from another.’​

Our ambition for Hive Education Trust is to grow a thriving community of between three and five schools in the London region. We believe that working together with other schools can enrich us all – pooling our experience, offering guidance when called upon, and learning from each other. We welcome schools from all phases and designations, both faith and non–faith, that share our values.​
