26 May 2016
I am writing to you as we are now coming to the end of the year for our Year 11s. I should begin by congratulating your son or daughter on the successful completion of their main school career with us, it has certainly been a rare pleasure to have been the Head of Year of the Class of 2016 and I shall remember them all with a great deal of fondness.
After the upcoming half term, the Year 11s are still expected to come in for normal lessons and exams. The only exception is Monday 6 June which is an Academy INSET and pupils should only come in if they have a cram session or an exam.
At some point thereafter, I will announce to the pupils that they only need come in for their exams. A text message will be sent to all parents to confirm the date.
Additionally, a number of Year 11 pupils have worked hard to create a yearbook and organised the production of Leaver’s Hoodies, both of these items are nice memorabilia for the pupils commemorating their time in the Academy.
Should you wish to purchase either of the above we would like to arrange for their collection on results day, and so we will require the payment by Tuesday 7 June. The cost for the yearbook is £20 and £15 for the hoody. The payment for this should be made using ParentPay. In exceptional circumstances we will accept cash, however please see Mr Reardon should this be necessary.
