End of term arrangements for Years 8 to 13

8 December 2017

Dear Parents/Carers

As we approach the end of the year, I wanted to inform you about our first charity fundraising event and confirm the end of term arrangements.

On Friday 15 December we have our ‘Make it Better with a Sweater’ fundraising event. Pupils wishing to participate should wear a Christmas jumper instead of their blazer & tie (skirts/trousers/footwear should be normal school uniform). Participants should also bring £2 for our charity which the pupils recently voted to support this year- MSF (Medecins Sans Frontieres). Please encourage your child to join in this festive fun for a very good cause.

On the last day of term (Thursday 21 December) all pupils, with the exception of Year 11 who have mock exams, will attend our end of term service at the Union Chapel on Compton Terrace. Pupils should come to school in the morning, at the usual time, in full school uniform. All pupils will be dismissed from the Chapel at the end of the service and will not be required to attend school in the afternoon. You are welcome to collect them from outside the Union Chapel at 12.00, but please be aware that it is very busy as the whole school departs and you might wish to agree a specific point to meet your child if you are planning to collect them.

Pupils in all years will return to school on Thursday 4 January 2018.

Yours faithfully

Ms V Linsley
Headteacher
