Year 6 SATs

2 May 2017

Dear Parent/Carer

As I am sure you are aware Year 6 will be sitting their National Curriculum Tests next week. All of the children have worked extremely hard and are fully prepared for these assessments.

Monday 8 May: Reading test
Tuesday 9 May: Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar test
Wednesday 10 May: Maths Arithmetic and Reasoning paper 1
Thursday 11 May: Maths Reasoning paper 2

To help your child please ensure that they have an early night the day before each test and have breakfast each morning.

If your child feels ill next week please contact the school as early as possible and speak to me. In previous years children who feel unwell have come to school to do the test and then returned home after.

On Friday 12 May, the PTSA have kindly paid for the children to go bowling at Rowans as a treat to recognise all of their hard work. We will be going to Finsbury Park first for games and a picnic, please send your child to school with a packed lunch. We will be walking, returning in time for the end of the school day. Please complete the permission slip attached and return to Donna in the Primary Office.

If you have any questions or concerns about next week please do not hesitate to speak to me.

Yours faithfully

Laurence Standing
Deputy Head of Primary
