Winning gold and bronze at the Islington Primary Athletics competition!

26 June 2015

Sprints, jumps and throws! That was the order of the day on Wednesday as our Years 5 and 6 competed in the Islington Primary Athletics competition against the rest of the best in the borough.

We saw great success from our boys 60m relay team who managed to snatch gold at the line in a thrilling final.

Although the girls 60m team also looked on course for gold, a couple of slippery baton changes meant they came away with bronze, which was amazing in itself considering how far back they had fallen. A major player in the girls relay team was Amber Coley, who also managed to win a terrific gold medal in the individual 60m.

A great day had by all and the whole team should be very proud of themselves in the effort, commitment and support for each other that they showed. Well done, Mary Mags!
