Performance of Macbeth
Wednesday 3 March 2010
Dear Parents/Carers
Performance of Macbeth – Thursday 18 March 2010
As you will know, your child is taking part in a Year 5 and Year 6 performance of Macbeth by William Shakespeare. The performances will take place on Thursday 18 March at 2.15pm and 6pm in the Multi-purpose Hall (entrance in Liverpool Road). You will have received a separate letter giving you details of how you can obtain tickets for all of the performances.
The children will need to be in costume and we need your support. Please could you provide the following:
All students in Black t-shirt and Black tracksuit bottoms.
Please can you arrange for your child to bring their costume to the primary department on Monday 15 March in a labelled carrier bag.
Costumes make a huge difference to the visual element of a performance and therefore your support in providing these is greatly appreciated.
Also your child will need to return to the Academy (Liverpool Road entrance) by 5.30pm on Thursday 18 March. Taking part in a production of this kind is a fantastic opportunity for the children and an experience that they are likely to remember for a long time so again your support in ensuring that your child returns to the Academy promptly will be very much appreciated. If you are unable to stay for the evening performance, we anticipate that it will end at approximately 7.00pm.
Yours sincerely
Joy Parke
Director of Primary
P.S. Due to the performances there will be no afterschool clubs on Thursday 18 March 2010
