Key Stage 4 homework
5 December 2011
Dear Parent/Carers
Key Stage 4 homework 2011-12 (Years 9, 10 & 11)
Teachers will set homework in GCSE subjects once a week. The homework should take roughly half an hour to complete. As you can see from the homework timetable, there are one or two subjects each evening. The codes for halves of the year and which option is which subject are indicated on your child’s timetable. If in doubt, pupils should ask their Guardian to clarify this.
Please support the homework process by checking your child’s planner for the detail of what should be done for homework and signing off the planner each week.
Homework can take the form of read, watch, investigate, practice, as well as written tasks. Additional homework may be set by individual subject teachers from time to time, and this would also be noted in the planner.
Thank you for your continuing support and please do not hesitate to contact your child’s Guardian or me with any questions regarding the homework arrangements.
Yours faithfully
Victoria Linsley
Vice Principal
