The National Society Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) report for 2016 is online:
The Ofsted reports for the Academy are available to see on the Ofsted website:
Writing about the most recent Ofsted report (2013) on the Primary and Secondary Schools, Paul Hollingum, Executive Director of the St Mary Magdalene Academy Trust, says:
The commentary points to an improved picture from the previous inspection and I would encourage you to read the full report to get a flavour of how close to ‘Outstanding’ we are. As for me the highlights are:
• Teachers aim high and plan carefully. Pupils know they are expected to work hard and complete tasks.
• The relationship between teachers and pupils in lessons is an important strength.
• The Academy is an orderly community. Pupils know the rules and are courteous to each other, adults and visitors.
• The promotion of pupil’s spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is strong.
The Governors and I are committed to moving the Academy to ‘Outstanding’ and you can be assured that we will take on board the comments made by this team on what we need to do to become ‘Outstanding’ and the advice and support of our external adviser to achieve this status as soon as possible.
