Leadership team

Paul Hollingum
The Executive Director

Paul has responsibility for: setting the purpose and direction of the partnership, maintaining attention on results and the pace and quality of progress, creating and upholding group unity and improving the individual effectiveness of other leaders.

He was appointed as the founding Principal of the Academy and took up post in September 2007. He joined the Academy after a period of successful Headship at Raine’s Foundation School, a Church of England Secondary School in Tower Hamlets. He had previously worked in the maintained and independent sector and has a background in change management and developing distributed leadership.

The addition of an Early Years Centre (2009) and the opening of The Courtyard (2013) led to the creation of the Partnership structure and the subsequent move from Principal to Executive Director in 2014.

Victoria Linsley
Headteacher of Secondary School

Victoria joined the Academy as Vice Principal of the Academy in April 2009 after a successful Deputy Headship in an Inner London Comprehensive and as a School Improvement Consultant in schools in Special Measures and Notice to Improve. She became Headteacher of the Secondary School in 2013.

Ruth Luzmore
Headteacher of Primary School

Ruth joined the Academy as Head of the Primary School in September 2016 after being a successful Deputy Head at Clerkenwell Parochial School for the previous five years.

Deborah Shepherd
Head of The Courtyard

Deborah transferred from the predecessor primary school to the Academy Primary School and became Deputy in 2008. Her abilities and aspirations to become a Head coincided with the opening of The Courtyard and she took up the post ahead of its opening in 2013.

Ian Ship
Director of Finance and Corporate Services

Ian leads on the core functions which spread across the Partnership: financial management and strategy, premises management and development, infrastructure services including ICT, human resource management and compliance. Ian joined us in January 2007 having been a Finance Director in the private sector. A fully qualified accountant, he brought experience of building and developing control systems as well as financial management.
