It’s been an Inspiring term!

30 March 2017

It’s been a very Inspire-ing term for our students. Today’s operating theatre live is just one of many events in our Inspire programme, aiming to raise our pupils’ aspirations and to look beyond the curriculum.

This term alone, our pupils have been invited to masterclasses with speakers including politician Lord Jonny Oates, author Lisa Williamson, journalist Mark Damazer and Political Editor Nick Robinson.

They’ve had the opportunity to see Hamlet performed at the Almeida, Chekhov at the National Theatre, rock band Transition singing in Mandarin, and plays in school performed in French, German and Spanish languages.

Science students have taken part in a forensic science workshop, an engineering day, and even a medical operating theatre. And our Sixth Formers were given a chance to quiz the experts at Wadham College Oxford on how to get into a Russell Group University.

All these events were produced or supported by our Inspire team, working with other departments – and dedicated to inspiring all our pupils. To take advantage, all you have to do is sign up!
