End of term information

12 December 2016

Dear Parents/Carers,

I am writing to inform you of a number of events that are happening at the Courtyard in the run up to Christmas.

Thursday 15 December – Christmas Dinner

The secondary department of SMMA will be serving a Christmas dinner on Thursday 15 December. If you would like your child to participate in the festivities and enjoy a warm meal, then please ensure that they have funds on their ParentPay account and that you notify the Courtyard office.

Friday 16 December – Christmas Jumper Day

As in previous years, the Courtyard will be celebrating the festive season by encouraging pupils to wear their Christmas jumpers to school. The Courtyard is joining SMMA in raising money for the Trust’s chosen charity – Macmillian Cancer Support, and therefore we are asking those pupils who do wear their Christmas jumpers to school, to donate £2 to the charity. It is important that your child adheres to the school uniform policy for the lower half of their clothing.

Tuesday 20 December – end of term celebration

The school will be having an end of term party on Tuesday from 2:00pm – 3:30pm to celebrate the fantastic achievements of the pupils. Basic nibbles will be provided by the Courtyard, however, if you would like to send in further refreshments, then these would be greatly appreciated.

Tuesday 20 December – 6th form social event

The Courtyard 6th formers have chosen to go bowling at the All Star Bowling alley in Stratford. They will be leaving school at 3:30pm and returning to Highbury & Islington station at 6:30pm. If your child would like to attend, please sign and return the permission slip to Mrs Rush.

Wednesday 21 December – last day of term

This will be the last day of term before the break for Christmas. The school day will finish as 12:30pm, before lunch. We will be returning to school on Monday 9 January 2017, at 8:30am. Please note that this will be WEEK B.

If you have any questions, please do email or call the school.

Best wishes for the festive break.
