Celebrating World Book Day 2018

1 March 2018

On March 1st, amidst the falling snow, The Courtyard was turned into a colourful, literary festival as students and teachers alike dressed up as their favourite fictional characters in honour of World Book Day!

We had everyone from Tintin, to Juliet, to Mrs Shepherd’s dazzling Angelica Sprocket.

As well as the fancy dress, The Courtyard School ran various workshops in celebration of World Book Day, including the ‘drop everything and read’ 20 minute activity.

This book themed day broadened our knowledge of authors and poets from around the world.

It is was an absolute pleasure to see the pupils explore their creative side as they presented their interpretations of famous literary works.
