Activities Week

7 June 2016

Dear Parent/Carer

Activities Week 18-22 July 2016

I am writing to inform you of the details for the Courtyard Activities Week 2016. It will take place in the last week of term, beginning Monday 18 July and concluding at 12:30pm on Friday 22 July when the Courtyard will close for the summer holiday.

The purpose of this week is to provide students with an opportunity to take part in new and challenging activities with their peers from the Courtyard. This not only leads to a smooth end to the academic year but also provides them with experiences which will often prove invaluable as they continue on their journeys to become active members of the community.

Monday 18 July 2016 – Museums of London, South Kensington
Tuesday 19 July 2016 – London Zoo, Regents Park
Wednesday 20 July 2016 – Richmond Park
Thursday 21 July 2016 – Oxygen Free Jumping, West Acton
Friday 22 July 2016 – Picnic and/or movie session, the Courtyard school

Activities week is compulsory and is a normal school week, any absences will be unauthorised unless medical evidence is provided.

The cost of activities week is £20. Please contact the school if you have any difficulties paying this cost.

The organisation and delivery of this week comes with great expense to the Courtyard and has been heavily subsidised by our Governing Body. The pupil contributions go towards transport, materials, and specialist instruction for the week.

Activities Week is non-uniform for all pupils.

Payment should be made in cash only or through ParentPay. Payment and your child’s reply slip should be handed to Louise Norman and should be in an envelope marked with your child’s name.

If you have any questions about specific activities, please email Ms Norman, who will endeavour to answer your questions. I am sure you will agree with me that this week presents our students with an excellent opportunity and I look forward to hearing of your child’s successful week.

Yours faithfully

Deborah Shepherd
